Shaping Emotions and Imagery
Hadi Teherani created a completely new and sophisticated architectural design and industrial building concept for Rellingen’s highly reputable luminaire manufacturer Tobias Grau.
The complex, located just across Hamburg’s northern border, incorporates parallel aligned tube-like major elements providing for office space and storage units, which are linked by a two-storey middle section.
The static skeleton structure is based on support beams made of 20 meter long laminated wood placed at five meter increments. The outer shell is finished with an aluminium skin. Inside a concrete table enables a two-storey utilization. The office area is defined by a central clasp containing conference rooms, cubic atriums, stairways and sanitary facilities.
The tubes are finished with glass facades on each southern end with royal blue solar panels, covering 54 and 180 square meters.
